Dear Brethren,
June, the midpoint of the year and the springboard to the summer vacation months of July and August.
In looking over the Lodge calendar, I find that we really have very little officially scheduled for these months other than various activities given by several auxiliary organizations, semi-officially connected to Masonry.
However, as brothers and Masons we must remember that Masonry does not begin and end with a calendar date, but is continuous throughout the year. The fact that we do not have our semi-monthly communication does not relieve us from our Masonry obligations and deter us from a Masonic way of life.
One only needs to refer to the various Masonic Charges of the degrees to remember what it is that we have promised to live our lives by. These promises hold true when we are in a regular communication or while we are "pursuing our usual vocations" " which in no way must be neglected." We still must remain cognizant of who we are and how we must guide ourselves and live our lives according to the most excellent rules laid down by the Masonic Charges.
This being the last trestleboard before the summer hiatus, I wish all the brethren a good and safe vacation. I will be sending out news letters to keep you up to date on the latest news and what is going on in the 8th District and Masonry in general.
Fraternally,
Robert James Rawding
Woshipful Master
