Dear Brethren,

Webster's Dictionary defines the word "brotherhood" as a group of men living a communal life; men of the same profession, business or other occupation tie, a fraternity. Nowhere else in the world will you see a greater "brotherhood" than in Masonry. You see it every time we meet in and out of Lodge.

Until I went into the East last year, I never realized the amount of brotherhood there is to Masonry. The amount of help I received throughout the year was fabulous! All of our degree work went off without a higtch. Maybe a little bump here and there, but nothing we couldn't handle. But it didn't stop there.

The more I "travel" the more I see. We attend the Distrcit Lodge on Instruction, we see brotherhood working together with different brothers in different Lodges, and we all seem to be One. We attend Masonic clubs, dinner dances, picnics, parades and holiday parties. Again as One. Even when we meet a brother in our regular walks of life, whome we never met before, it is as if he is an old friend. I have encountered people that I have known and never knew they were Masoncs. When we realized we were both "on the level," our relationship changed. We became brothers who would do anything for the other. I am seeing this happen already with our new incoming brothers. They are seeing for themselves what we are about. Men they work with, do business with, people that used to just say hello, are offering them help with their degree work.

Our Fraternity is the greatest in the world and always will be. Brethren, we have to spread the workd about our great brotherhood. Subtly, of course. Let other fine men know what we are all about. Live and act like a Mason and may brotherly love prevail.

Happy and Healthy New Year.
