Master's Message
May 2001

Dear Brethren,

As you already know, 'peace and harmony' is the 'strength and support of all institutions.' Anyone that was present at Grand Lodge can attest to the peace and harmony among the brethren. We all acknowledged each other throughout the event. It was a nice feeling to see so many Masons together in one place at the same time. As you walked around the city, attended the meetings, or visited other lodges in the various hotels, you felt that you knew everyone. Brethren would invite you to the hospitality room of their lodge or just say hello in passing as if they met you many times before. It was a great time for all who attended.

Now it is time to show our 'strength and support' for the newly elected officers on all levels. We must participate and practice our craft. This can be accomplished by attending the Grand Lodge of Instruction, the District Lodge of Instruction, or at our monthly Lodge meetings. Your presence and input at meetings is always welcomed. We should also 'support' the many other Masonic organizations when possible. Good Lord knows there are many to choose from! The Eastern Star, the Amaranth, the Sciots, another Lodge nearby, or our Club in Lyndhurst, there is always something to do. It is true that our cable tow may become a little too taut at times, and that is understandable with today's fast moving society. But we still should not forget the Lodge that we hold so dear to our hearts.

Our Official Visit went well last month. The R.W. District Deputy Grand Master John Ryan and R.W. Ralph Todd gave us some good points to ponder. I thank my officers and brethren for their help and 'support' at the many rehearsals we had. I also would like to thanks the Past Masters for their help and guidance throughout. Going through it for the first time, it made life a lot easier for me having their support.

Since this is the month of May, there is one other person that should be remembered for their 'support.' That special someone who has always 'supported' us throughout our lives. Whether it was moral support, maybe a smile, maybe some sound advice, or maybe a little 'cash.' That person was always there when needed, ready to pitch in and maybe said a little prayer for us on our behalf. To that person, whether you are with us or with our Creator, You are always in our hearts and minds. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Fraternally,
Edward Gasior
